The SUNCHASER Story

Sunchaser Canopy of MichiganWe’ve all heard the expression “build a better mousetrap”. That thought resonated with us back in 1999 when after years of working in the Michigan boating industry we realized boaters were tired of many of the problems associated with closed end canopies. This is where the Sunchaser story begins.

Boating is a way of life in Michigan!Taking a 20 foot prototype with fabric installed, we took a 30 mile road trip down I96 at 70 MPH. Having no problems, we decided it was time to offer the canopy to the retail public.
Sunchaser Boat Lift Canopy		 Experience The Sunscahse Canopy Difference!We then went to the 2000 Chicago Boat Show; we sold not only to the retail customer but also to our first dealer who remains to date our #1 Dealer having sold hundreds on the Fox Lake Chain in Illinois. This show reinforced what we already knew, people were ready for a better boat lift canopy.

Custom Boat Lift CanopyWe have come a long way since that test drive down the interstate. Today we make canopies that fit small PWC boat lifts as well as canopies that fit boat lifts with beams of up to 11 feet. Sunchaser Canopy frames are made in Michigan while sewing facilities are in Michigan and Missouri.
